From the man who spin doctored Tony Blair's way through some rather dodgy moments, we now have a new "politically correct" world cup blog
Despite the iffy "Memo to columnists who have never been to a football match - we don't care what you think. Take a holiday." Its the comments on his blog that are quite amusing :
"Alastair, if Iran find themselves behind at half time, do you think they'll be able to launch a counter-attack in the following 45 minutes? Excellent!! Alastair, maybe you could take a few free kicks for England - although, with the amount spin you´d put on it, it'd end up in your own goal!!!"
"Seems to me that the English midfield is a bit like British politics at the moment - most of the attention is in the middle, but there's always an influence on the right and whether it's good or bad, you get the impression no-one's got the balls to ignore it. As for the left, well, whoever plays there never seems to want to stay there and sooner or later cuts in onto his right!"
